Plantar Warts Treatment
Plantar warts or papillomas are warts caused by the human papilloma virus, hence the name. These warts develop on the plantar surfaces, so standing and walking tends to strain the plantar skin and the wart grows inward, and the pressure causes pain in the affected area. To prevent the spread of warts, the body forms calluses, which can also cause pain when walking.
These warts, like all other warts, are caused by a virus that invades the skin, taking advantage of small cuts, scrapes or lack of hydration. They also share with other warts the fact that they are contagious and are commonly spread in swimming pools or public showers.
Plantar tags are more common in children than in adults; also in those taking corticosteroid or immunosuppressive drugs.
Plantar warts are benign and may disappear even without treatment, but in most cases the pain means that they cannot be ignored.
At this point, at HERBI FEET we recommend first scraping the warts with a file to remove dead cells and then SKINGEL VERRUGAS based on salicylic acid. Generally, all that is needed is to apply these patches daily and sanitize the foot well.
